KANATA: A STRONGER ADVENTURE
Gameplay Update • September 20, 2026
Gather your party, revisit unfinished adventures, and put your build to the test. This update brings personal Party Quest rewards, new boss equipment, skill improvements, a Free Market training challenge, and fixes for several quests.
Party Quests - A Reward of Your Own
Completing a supported Party Quest now earns one personal reward roll for each eligible player. Speak with the reward or exit NPC to see and accept your item before leaving.
The pool includes:
- Mechanic equipment for every part slot, through level 100.
- Evan dragon equipment for all four slots, through level 100.
- Selected rings, belts, shoulder accessories and pendants, through level 120.
- Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scrolls.
Accessory Reward List
The accessory pool focuses on 14 useful rewards, including imported Tempest, Gollux and Blackgate equipment. Listed stats are the base values before upgrades.

Accessories share the reward pool with the Mechanic parts, Evan dragon equipment and Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scrolls listed above. Each eligible player receives one item from the combined pool per completion.
Your reward is saved when earned. Declining the dialogue, having a full inventory or reconnecting does not reroll it. Visit Inkwell and choose Collect saved Party Quest rewards to recover an unclaimed reward.
Included activities: Henesys, Kerning, Ludibrium, Orbis, Lord Pirate, Romeo and Juliet, Ellin Forest, Hoblin King, Dragon Rider, Amoria, Guild PQ, Crimsonwood Keep, Nett’s Pyramid, Dusty Platform, Sea of Fog, Monster Carnival, Ariant Coliseum and a complete Mu Lung Dojo run. Early exits and failed runs do not create a completion reward. Dojo requires all 38 floors; Ariant requires the battle to finish normally.
Boss Loot & Hunting
Zakum, Chaos Zakum, Horntail, Chaos Horntail and Pink Bean gain a supplemental equipment roll containing level 100 and above Mechanic and Evan parts, Reverse Katara and VIP Katara. Level 100 parts can appear in both the PQ and boss pools.
Each boss clear adds one shared equipment drop through the normal boss-loot system. The new items also appear in Monster Book drop previews and @drops.
| Boss | Signature Equipment | Baseline Drop Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Chaos Zakum | Chaos Zakum Helmet | 10% |
| Horntail | Horntail Necklace | 20% |
| Chaos Horntail | Chaos Horntail Necklace | 10% |
These are the baseline chances at Kanata’s configured drop rate. Applicable personal drop bonuses continue to apply.
Global hunting drops now require the monster to be within five levels of your character, in either direction. A level 100 character qualifies against level 95–105 monsters. This restriction applies to the global pool; authored monster, quest and boss-specific rewards keep their own rules.
Picking up a Monster Book card now reports your collection count, such as 3/5.
The recurring Welcome to Kanata note was removed.
Free Market Battle Analysis
Visit So Gong in the Free Market to start a 60-second personal damage trial.
- Your training dummy is visible and attackable only by you.
- It cannot die, hurt players or award drops, EXP or quest progress.
- Start and result notifications appear in chat without interrupting the NPC dialogue.
- At the end, receive a quick damage summary, then speak with the trainer for the full report.
- Review total damage, DPS, damage by skill, each skill’s contribution, measured hits, known critical hits and hit ranges.
- Leaving the Free Market ends the trial and removes the dummy.
The report identifies damage for which individual hit or critical data is unavailable, so those sources are not presented as measured critical hits.
Skills - Faster, Stronger, Smoother
Warriors
The HP Boost passive for Explorer Warriors and Dawn Warriors now grants 20% maximum HP per skill level, reaching 200% at level 10.
Blaze Wizard
Added Teleport Mastery to the third-job skill set. It requires level 20 Teleport and includes the appropriate effects and skill information.
Assassinate
- Can be used without first entering Dark Sight.
- Starting the combo from Dark Sight gives an immediate 2× damage bonus without waiting to charge it.
- A damaging finishing strike has a 30% chance to grant three seconds of Dark Sight, provided the character has learned it.
Ninja Ambush
Ninja Ambush becomes a passive follow-up. Every fourth damaging primary attack triggers an extra strike against up to six surviving targets from that attack. A gap longer than ten seconds resets the sequence.
Damage reaches 500% at maximum skill level, with a one-second stun against ordinary monsters. The follow-up costs no MP and does not require a separate cast.
Summons & Charge Skills
- Added summon support to @ab, while keeping normal skill requirements, resource costs and cooldowns.
- Soul Seeker hovers above the character; it and Hunting Decree now aim at the monster’s body rather than below its feet.
- Improved their idle movement, launch positions and travel alignment.
- Finite charge skills now release at full charge immediately. Sustained attacks that are held to keep firing retain their normal behavior.
Equipment & Convenience
| Change | New Value |
|---|---|
| Premium Magnifying Glass in @ss | 50,000 mesos each |
| Universal Saddle in the Cash Shop | 5,000 NX, permanent |
| Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scroll, stars 10–20 | 5% |
| Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scroll, stars 21–100 | 1.5% |
The Universal Saddle supports mounts with an existing compatible saddle animation. It does not supply a mount by itself. Regular Equipment Enhancement Scroll rates are unchanged.
Quest & Gameplay Fixes
- Zakum Mystery Box: using the box no longer leaves the character unable to act. It awards a boss-supply reward, and a full inventory keeps the box intact.
- Mushroom Kingdom: corrected progression after the Yeti encounters and recovery of the required key.
- Robeira’s seal investigation: restored the Ice Valley II entrance to the Ice Ravine route for Confirming the Seal.
- Balrog: corrected the relationship between the hands, body and encounter completion so the fight can finish and award its normal rewards.
- Monster Riding: the hog-protection map keeps its intended small spawn group instead of receiving the inflated hunting-map population.
- Hog capture: perfume attempts properly release the character’s action state, including unsuccessful attempts.
- Evan - After Shedding: corrected valid Mir quest interactions that produced the unknown-error message.
- Lie Detector: automatic challenges begin only during accepted manual combat. Passive summon or damage-over-time ticks and idle polling no longer start a challenge on an AFK character.
The repaired Zakum Mystery Box awards one of the following:
| Reward | Chance |
|---|---|
| 50 Power Elixirs | 60% |
| 100 Elixirs | 25% |
| 1 Advanced Equipment Enhancement Scroll | 10% |
| 1 Chaos Scroll | 5% |
Chaos Rewards - A New Look
The Jester’s Throne, Lune’s Crescent, four Chaos medals and Far Side Mantle receive refreshed artwork. Chairs include eight-frame animations, corrected seating positions and matching inventory icons. Medal nameplates have been resized and checked for readable text.
| Medal | STR / DEX / INT / LUK | Weapon / Magic Attack | HP / MP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Far-Sider | +15 each | +8 each | +250 each |
| Unbroken | +20 each | +12 each | +500 each |
| The Jester’s Equal | +25 each | +16 each | +750 each |
| Curtain Caller | +30 each | +20 each | +1,000 each |
Existing medals receive the base stat increase while retaining their existing extra bonuses and potential.
